Jessica Ramos is looking to fend off a primary challenge from Democratic candidate Jessica González-Rojas.
Ramos has been representing the Queens district since 2019.
The district covers all or parts of Corona, Elmhurst, East Elmhurst and Jackson Heights.
Ramos made headlines last year after terminating her campaign for New York City mayor and endorsing former Gov. Andrew Cuomo for the job.
Since that move, Ramos has found herself in a tough position — losing allies and key endorsements in her reelection bid, including from the Working Families Party.
Ramos joined NY1’s Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Tuesday to talk about her reelection campaign.
“Everyone in my district knows I’m their senator, no one else’s,” she said. “And I am not done fighting for their families and for mine. I always have.”
“I’m running on a very strong record of passing well over 150 bills,” Ramos continued.
