GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL, Manhattan (PIX11) — No. 7 subway trains were partly suspended between Queens and Manhattan after a track fire at Grand Central-42 St during the Wednesday morning rush.
Trains were suspended in both directions between 34 St-Hudson Yards and Queensboro Plaza due to the track fire.
Commuters were advised to take N, W, E, F, M and R trains instead for alternate service.
The suspensions come as multiple subway lines continued to be delayed due to Monday’s historic snowstorm.
Downtown N and W trains ran with delays while A trains ran local between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets and Broadway Junction in both directions.
Uptown N trains ran local between 59 St and 36 St, while uptown D trains ran local between 36 St to DeKalb Ave due to lasting impacts from the snow.
