Brasa Peruvian Kitchen is the undisputed home of Peruvian super foods and super flavors! This sleek, modern eatery has taken ancient grains and ingredients indigenous to Peru and combined them with scientific nutritional guidance for healthy eating that tastes so good. With warm bowls, seasonal salads, smoothies, and more, all made with fresh, organic ingredients, Brasa Peruvian Kitchen is a win-win for culinary excellence and nutrition.

Amiable owner Michel Falcon grew up in Canada with Peruvian parents and wanted to introduce people to the healthiest aspects of Peruvian ingredients, with a modern twist. The sixth and newest location in Astoria opened in September 2025, after two locations in Manhattan and three in Toronto. When a new location opens, Falcon donates $10,000 to farming projects in Peru, something we should all feel good about.

The spotless interior is decked with white tables and blonde wood chairs with floor to ceiling windows that open to the street in warm weather. Behind the sparkling glass counter lie red pots full of fresh foods made from scratch that go into the warm bowls and salads. The “Build Your Own” bowl or salad is easy. and enjoy unlimited toppings, starting at just $11.95. We dove into the Hot Brasa chicken bowl made with mixed greens, Brasa roasted chicken, mint cucumber, roasted potatoes, raw carrots, Peruvian salsa called criola, golden beets, hot rocoto peppers and lime sauce ($14.75) for a generous portion. Every bite burst with flavors and textures that were so vibrant and tasty. The Chifa Braised Beef bowl is layered with mixed greens, warm, seasoned rice, broccoli, criola, tear drop peppers, and lime sauce. Next time, I’ll try the Tuna Ceviche bowl with fresh marinated tuna, Peruvian quinoa, giant corn called choclo, avocado and sweet potatoes, with 29 grams of protein and lots of flavor ($13.25). Vegans and non-vegans alike love the Tofu Sweet Potato Bowl, with chili pepper tofu, rice, broccoli, olives, achoclo, sweet potato blossoms, and marigold Caesar dressing.

Vibrant salads such as the Cusco Chicken Caesar with tri-color quinoa, fresh cheese, and corn with tender chicken make a great lunch or dinner. Avocado Chicken Crunch salad and the Spicy Mango Shrimp salad are all popular and loaded with protein.

Superfood smoothies are super delicious, made from healthy ingredients. The Mango Butter Smoothie is blended with coconut butter, organic Peruvian gooseberry, orange, passionfruit, fresh mint, pure almond milk, vanilla, and vegan protein that is thick, satisfying, and not too sweet. Matcha Picchu Greens, Strawberry Camu Cake, and Pure Vanilla Lucuma are smoothies designed to provide fiber, clarity of mind, focus, and hydration.

With high protein, high nutrition, and low in calories, Brasa Peruvian Kitchen is good food that you can feel good about. Brasa Peruvian Kitchen is conveniently located just downstairs from the N/W 30th Avenue station. They’re open seven days a week from 11am to 9pm, with delivery on the major platforms.
