MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A group of Watertown High School students and teachers remain stranded in New York after their flight back to Wisconsin was canceled for the second time.

Fifteen students and two teachers traveled to New York for an art history class field trip. Their flight home was first canceled because of the historic blizzard on Saturday, then canceled again on Tuesday.
“We don’t know. It just canceled,” Thessaly Montoya, a junior said.
The students are eager to return to the Dairyland by Wednesday night.
“I can’t wait to go to a Kwik Trip again,” Ever Elkins, a sophomore said.
Elkins said she is looking forward to more than just a convenience store stop.
“I’m looking forward to seeing all my pets and finally getting a home-cooked meal,” she said.
Some are hoping to be in the comfort of their own space.
“I’m definitely looking forward to getting home and seeing my cat and sleeping in my bed,” said Krystal Groves.

The group spent three hours rebooking their flight at the airport on Wednesday.
“I am looking forward to seeing all my family,” said Ava Marasch.
Students missed three days of classes this week.
