BOROUGHWIDE — LUNAR NEW YEAR celebrations continue in Brooklyn this week and next, including an event hosted by Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso’s at Borough Hall and an all-day festival at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum.
At Borough Hall, Reynoso will be joined by Councilmember Susan Zhuang at an fun-filled evening featuring food, dancing and community traditions on Friday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m.
On Sunday, March 1, the Brooklyn Children’s Museum hosts an array of lively performances and activities, including the famous Lunar New Year lion dance; a kung-fu workshop; storytime with authors Yobe Qiu and Michele Wong McSween; calligraphy lessons; Chinese folk music and more.
The festival at BCM is presented with the New York Chinese Cultural Center and the Chinatown Community Young Lions, and in partnership with Zhuang.
