A man walking on the Henry Hudson Parkway in Manhattan on Wednesday night was struck and killed by two drivers, police said Thursday.

NYPD officials said the man was crossing the busy highway from east to west around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday near West 151st Street in Washington Heights.

He was first hit by the driver of a 2025 Toyota Sienna minivan heading south in the left lane, according to police.

Officials said the impact threw the man onto the northbound side, where he was then hit by the driver of a 2022 Dodge Durango heading north in the left lane.

The man suffered severe trauma to his head and body, the NYPD said. First responders took him to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The 35-year-old Toyota driver and 41-year-old Dodge driver both stayed at the scene, according to officials. Police did not make any immediate arrests.

Investigators were working to identify the man early Thursday. There is a pedestrian bridge above the Henry Hudson Parkway at West 151st Street, and police said they were investigating why the man was not using it.

The crash caused extensive delays for several hours on the parkway Wednesday night, officials said.
