MANHATTAN — HARVEY WEINSTEIN added high-profile defense attorney Marc Agnifilo to his legal team as he prepares for another Manhattan trial, New York Daily News reports.
Agnifilo — whose recent clients include Sean “Diddy” Combs and Luigi Mangione — will replace Weinstein’s longtime lawyer, Arthur Aidala, along with firm partners Jacob Kaplan and Teny Geragos. The change comes ahead of Weinstein’s March 4 court appearance, with a trial date still pending on a third-degree rape charge.
Aidala told the Daily News he will continue handling Weinstein’s appeal of his latest sexual assault conviction, calling it the “most important part” of the case.
Weinstein’s 2020 rape conviction was overturned in 2024 by New York’s highest court, prompting a retrial last year. A jury convicted him again on one count involving Miriam Haley but deadlocked on Jessica Mann. He also faces a 16-year sentence in California, which he is appealing.
