TOWN OF RUSSELL, New York (WWNY) – New York State Police are investigating the death of a man found inside a home on Pyrites-Russell Road in the town of Russell, and an individual is in custody in connection with the case.
Troopers responded to the residence at approximately 7:49 p.m. on Wednesday after receiving a report of a deceased individual. A preliminary investigation determined that a deceased male was on a couch inside the home.
Further investigation revealed that a domestic dispute had occurred earlier at the residence. All parties involved were interviewed by State Police.
Troopers executed multiple search warrants in connection with the case. The Forensic Investigation Unit also processed the scene.
State Police said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
