Manhattan woman arrested in connection with criminal damage to property

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – A Manhattan woman was arrested Thursday in connection with criminal damage to property.

According to the Riley County Police Department, officers filed the report around 11:35 a.m. in the 700 block of Griffith Drive.

A 63-year-old man was listed as the victim. It was reported that a 46-year-old female suspect, known to the man, damaged the inside of an apartment.

As a result, Virginia Beneux, 46, of Manhattan, was arrested at 2:14 p.m. in the 700 block of Griffith in connection with criminal damage to property.

Beneux was issued a $100,000 bond and is confined at the Riley County Jail.

The total estimated loss associated with the case is $2,000.
