NEW YORK (PIX11) — While the big St. Patrick’s Day parade is in Manhattan on March 17, a pair of parades will close streets in the outer boroughs this weekend, according to the Department of Transportation.
Multiple areas in Queens and Staten Island will be closed on Sunday.
Queens Street Closures
The St. Pat’s for All Parade ceremony starts at noon at 43rd Street and Skillman Avenue, followed by the parade at 1 p.m.
The following Queens streets will be closed, according to the DOT.
Formation:
43rd Street between Skillman Avenue and Barnett Avenue
Route:
Skillman Avenue between 43rd Street and 56th Street
56th Street between Skillman Avenue and Woodside Avenue
Woodside Avenue between 56th Street and 60th Street
Dispersal:
Woodside Avenue between 60th Street and 61st Street

Staten Island Street Closures
The 62nd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Staten Island will also take place on Sunday. Festivities are scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m.
Due to snow and parking concerns, the start of the parade has been moved to Forest Avenue, from Victory Boulevard to Hart Boulevard, according to a post on their Facebook page.
The following Staten Island streets will be closed, according to the DOT.
Formation:
Hart Boulevard between Forest Avenue and Revere Street
Route:
Forest Avenue between Hart Boulevard and Jewett Avenue
Dispersal:
Forest Avenue between Jewett Avenue and Ordell Avenue
