NEW YORK (PIX11) — A man was sentenced to 25 years to life for the murder of his girlfriend as she was leaving her job at an IHOP, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced on Friday.
Clarkson Wilson fatally shot her girlfriend back in Sep. 2022, after she attempted to end their six-month relationship, according to court documents.
Wilson followed the victim to her workplace, where he waited nearby for nearly seven hours, according to court documents.
At the end of the victim’s shift, she departed her workplace, and Wilson followed her for several blocks before fatally shooting her, court documents say.
Video surveillance caught Wilson fleeing the scene and changing his clothing to avoid police before heading into the subway, court documents said.
