HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Jersey City will be white, wet, and then warm this week, weather experts say.
Up to a half inch of snow is expected to fall on Tuesday, and while it’s not much, hours of rain may cause messy roads.
“Several waves of low pressure will impact the area starting Monday night with wintry precipitation possible during the Tuesday morning commute,” the NWS says. “A significant warm-up is expected late next week.”
The National Weather Service says that snow may turn to all rain after 1 p.m. on Tuesday. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
After a half inch or less of snow falls during the day, another quarter to a half inch of rain may fall that evening, forecasters say.
On Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the county has a 40 to 50 percent chance of rain, the National Weather Service says.
