Police are urging New York City residents to look out for an octogenarian who went missing from his apartment building in Manhattan on Sunday.
NYPD officials said 88-year-old Osvaldo Acosta was last seen around 4:30 p.m. as he left his home at NYCHA’s Elliott Houses on West 25th Street and 10th Avenue in Chelsea.
Acosta has dementia and was wearing a white medical bracelet at the time, according to authorities.
Police said Acosta has brown hair and a black mustache and is about 5’11” and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a black hat, black pants and gray shoes.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). People can also submit their tips on the Crime Stoppers website.
