As they said in Game of Thrones, winter is coming, and that means we will soon see a lot more bare trees across New York State. That means your chance to enjoy the colors of Fall is ending soon.

Last Chance To See Fall Foliage In New York

This might be the last good weekend to leaf peep in New York state as the majority of the state is moving to post-peak fall foliage this weekend. According to the latest Fall Foliage map from I Love New York, much of the state has moved into the post-peak part of the fall. That means that there might be fewer leaves on trees, muted colors, and fewer colors on the leaves that are still in trees.

The good news is that there are still some places that have yet to reach peak leaf-peeping in New York State. Areas near Rochester and Long Island might reach peak next weekend, so it might take you a bit of a drive, but you should still be able to see some amazing colors.
