NEW YORK CITY — New York City is in for nearly a full week of rain, with spring-like temperatures in the low 50s, and some potential snow, according to the latest forecast.
According to the National Weather Service, Monday is expected to be arctic, with below-freezing temperatures and wind chills, before the warm up begins on Tuesday.
Tuesday is expected to have snow in the morning, becoming all rain after 4 p.m. with a high near 41 degrees as a southerly wind begins to usher warmer air into the region.

The rain will continue through Wednesday evening, when the chances of precipitation will drop from 90 percent to 30 percent, accompanied by a low of 42 degrees, the National Weather Service reports.
Thursday, the rain and warm air will continue, with a 40 percent chance of rain during the day and a 50 percent chance of rain overnight, with a high near 54 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday’s forecast shows a 40 percent chance of rain before 1 p.m., with cloudy skies and a high near 50 degrees. Friday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 43, forecasters said.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 58 degrees. Saturday night has a 40 percent chance of rain, with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 47 degrees.

Tuesday Night: Rain. Low around 39. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the morning.
Wednesday Night: A 50 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 42.
Thursday: A 40 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 54.
