President Donald Trump awarded the Medal of Honor to three U.S. soldiers, two posthumously, and one of them is a hometown hero from Staten Island.
Staff Sergeant Michael Ollis, from Staten Island, was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
His parents, Robert and Linda, accepted the medal on behalf of their son.
Ollis was killed during an attack in Afghanistan.
The other two honorees were a World War II veteran and a sergeant who served in the Vietnam War.

The medal ceremony took place at the White House.
