Phillipa Soo, the Broadway star best known for originating the role of Eliza in Hamilton, had an excellent run this past decade. After the musical became a sensation, she won an Emmy for performing in the film version, took on leading roles in other Broadway productions like Into the Woods and Camelot, and played a nurse in Ryan Murphy’s Doctor Odyssey. She also married actor Steven Pasquale and bought a loft with him at the Eagle Warehouse in Brooklyn Heights, located at 28 Old Fulton Street. But actors eventually move on, even from the best roles. The same is true for lofts, apparently: Soo and Pasquale have just listed theirs for $1.899 million.
“They’re upgrading to a larger unit in the neighborhood,” says Eli Levi, an associate broker at Corcoran who has the listing and represented them in the original sale in 2022.
The loft, as seen in listing photos, is configured as a one-bedroom with a sprawling open living space illuminated by a large skylight.

A sprawling 1,825-square-foot one-bedroom with hardwood floors, a massive open living space, high ceilings, and a gigantic skylight, the loft is surprisingly, well, loft-y — something of a rarity these days in high-end New York real estate. There are even distressed-looking columns. There is the one bedroom and, as the listing shows, a second that could be created out of what is now a very large windowed walk-in closet. It’s one of two large storage spaces in the apartment. There’s also a sizable foyer and a bathroom with a standing shower and a built-in heat lamp, albeit one with a somewhat older renovation, although everything appears to be in good condition. (The 1906 building, the former home of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, was converted to a co-op in 1980.) City records show that the couple paid $1.725 million for the apartment in 2022. There are no deeds listed yet for a new purchase under their name.
The loft, as seen in listing photos, has a traditional loft layout and is located on the top floor of the Eagle Warehouse, a turn-of-the-century building that was converted to a co-op in 1980.

The elevator building has a part-time doorman, a gym, and washers and dryers on every floor. (In-unit washers and dryers can also be added with board approval.) Levi says that units in the building have a variety of layouts, many of them funky and unique — townhouse-style units; duplexes; big, original-style lofts; lofts that have been carved into multi-bedroom apartments. There’s currently one other unit for sale in the building: a two-bedroom triplex, also asking $1.899 million, on the garden-through-second floors.
