Henrico, Va.  – Opening their bid for a conference championship, No. 14 Fordham University women’s basketball takes on No. 11 Saint Louis Wednesday in the First Round of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship at Henrico Sports and Events Center.

Fordham (10-19, 2-16) fell in the season finale at St. Bonaventure, 77-69 Saturday, looking to snap a four-game losing streak, last winning on the road at the Billikens back on Feb.11.. Saint Louis (11-20, 5-13) ended the season on a 10-game losing streak, falling at Davidson Saturday, with its last win coming back on Jan. 21st against Fordham,

Meeting for the third time in just 42 days, Saint Louis claimed a 67-57 overtime win against the Rams in the first meeting in The Bronx, before the Rams answered during their trip to the Midwest in February, winning 42-39 in Saint Louis just over three weeks ago. All time the Billikens hold a 14-13 lead in the series, with Fordham holding a 6-4 edge in the last 10 minutes.

Lakresha Edwards has scored 10+ points in 11 of the last 19 games for the Rams, dating back to Dec. 6 in the non-conference finale at Hofstra. She has led the team in scoring four times over that span, setting new career-high’s four times (24) this season as well.

Carryn Easley has scored in double-figures 10 times over the last 15 games since being added to the starting lineup on Jan. 3 against Saint Joseph’s.

The Maroon and White sit 18th among all Division I teams in the nation, leading the A-10 averaging 15.3 offensive rebounds per game and sit fifth best in the conference averaging 37.52 overall rebounds per game.

The Rams are second in the league and 54th best of any team in the nation, averaging 23.0 bench points per game. 

Fordham also sits 82nd in the country in steals per game at 9.7, the third best average in the league, and rank 59th in the country in turnovers forced per game, forcing opponents into 19.17/game, leading in the A-10.
