The Legal Aid Society has been the city’s premier nonprofit law firm and the nation’s largest civil legal services provider for more than a century.
This year, the agency celebrates 150 years of protecting and defending the rights of people across the five boroughs. To commemorate the milestone, The New York Historical is hosting an exhibit called “Delivering Justice: 150 Years of the Legal Aid Society.”
Twyla Carter, The Legal Aid Society’s CEO and attorney-in-chief, joined “The Rush Hour” on Wednesday to discuss the exhibit and the agency’s legacy across the five boroughs.
