As Media Partners once again, Greenroofs.com is pleased to share the news from our industry association, Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC)!
As the 20th annual conference dedicated to advancing green roofs, green walls, and living architecture across North America, CitiesAlive 2026 takes place September 30 – October 2, 2026 in Brooklyn, New York. It will feature a dynamic program of presentations, research, and dialogue shaping the future of green infrastructure.
GRHC: What We Are Looking for in Session Proposals?
Proposals for 30, 60, or 90 minute presentations that are practical and dynamic, yet interactive and engaging. Presentations should address any of the Topics of Interest that we have listed below. Sessions are typically grouped into chunks of 3 presentations. There will also be featured stand alone presentations.
GRHC: What We Are Looking for in Research Paper Proposals?
Research papers, presentation abstracts and posters on novel and applicable green roof or living wall research. Provide an abstract of your research paper or presentation in 250 words or less.
There are three opportunities to share your research:
Research Track (25 minute presentation, peer reviewed proceedings paper, data collected)
Emerging Professionals Track (10 minute presentation, abstract only)
Poster session (for students primarily)
How to Submit a CitiesAlive 2026 Presentation Proposal
To submit a Session Proposal (30, 60, or 90 minute presentation), please click the button below to be taken to the CitiesAlive 2026: Call for Proposals Google Form.
After the Session Proposal is submitted, it will be added to a list of session proposals that will be reviewed and rank by a panel of specialists on the CitiesAlive 2026 Advisory Committee. No submissions will be accepted after April 1st, 2026. Green Roofs for Healthy Cities will reach out to all submitting parties once the panel has completed the review process. How to Submit a CitiesAlive 2026Â Research Paper/Abstract/Poster Proposal
To submit a Research Paper Proposal (30 or 10 minute research-based presentation, or poster presentation), please click the button below to be taken to the CitiesAlive 2026: Call for Research Papers Google Form. If you do not have a research paper or abstract to submit for peer review, we ask you to please submit a Session Proposal instead.
After the Research Paper Proposal is submitted, it will be added to a list of proposals that will be peer reviewed and selected by a group of green infrastructure industry academics. No submissions will be accepted after April 1st, 2026. Please click the button below for more details.
