CONCOURSE, the Bronx (PIX11) — An off-duty school crossing guard was punched near a Bronx school on Thursday morning, police said.
The 47-year-old man was attacked near East 167th Street and Gerard Avenue in Concourse at around 8:25 a.m., according to the NYPD.
The crossing guard was ambushed near P.S./I.S. 218 Rafael Hernández Dual Language School on Gerard Avenue. He refused medical treatment at the scene, police said.
The suspect, believed to be a man in his 30s, took off after the alleged attack, police said. There have been no arrests.
