QUEENS (WABC) — The heavy rainfall overnight into Friday morning, along with melting snow caused flooding on some roads in New York City.

Part of Rockaway Boulevard in Queens turned into a pond during the rain.

Police say the driver of a Corvette even got stuck farther down on Brookville Boulevard.

Other drivers say this problem is nothing new.

“I’m coming through the water, and my engine is shaking and I can’t go anymore. I don’t know what is going to happen. And I have to go to work in the morning. This is not good, not good at all,” said driver Haro Singh. “Frequently when we get heavy rain, this is a problem.”

Police were warning drivers to take extra precautions if they came across flooded and wet roads Friday morning.
