A row of Bronx businesses went up in flames overnight.
The fire on East Gun Hill Road in Williamsbridge broke out just before midnight. By 1:30 a.m., it had reached four alarms, intensifying the fire effort. The initial call came in for a reporter fire in a store.
The FDNY found fire in the cockloft of a row of them.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment, FDNY officials said. There were no other reports of injuries. The number of affected businesses is believed to be in the double digits.
Video posted to the Citizen app showed a dramatic scene.
