INWOOD, Manhattan (WABC) — A 15-year-old teenager has been arrested after allegedly trespassing onto the subway tracks with a loaded gun in Manhattan.
Bodycam video captures the police pursuit of the 15-year-old boy at the Dyckman Street subway station in Inwood around 11 p.m. on February 28.
According to the NYPD, officers observed the suspect trespassing from the subway platform onto the subway tracks.
“Oh, he’s going to try to go. He’s running, he’s running, he’s running, he’s running, he’s running, he’s running,” one of the officers said.
Police say the 15-year-old tossed a loaded firearm during the pursuit.
“He put it down, he put it down,” the officer said.
Video shows the officer recovering the gun behind a blue bucket.
The officers continued the chase, searching a No. 1 train inside the subway tunnel. Officers concluded the suspect wasn’t on the train and believed he ran to the next station.
