Long-term care experts will share insights on topics critical to providers’ livelihood during the inaugural McKnight’s Pinnacle Summit in New York City on March 18.
The Summit precedes a cocktail reception, dinner and awards ceremony during which 33 leaders in skilled nursing, senior living and home care will be honored across several awards categories. The McKnight’s Pinnacle Awards + Summit is a joint effort of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News and sister brands McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Home Care. The Pinnacle Awards now are in their fourth year.

Registration for the day’s events will begin at 3 p.m. ET, with the Summit starting at 3:30 p.m. with welcome remarks.
Three panel discussions include:
3:35 to 4 p.m. ET — “From staffing crisis to strategic edge: Turning labor headwinds into advantage.” Panelists will include The Palace Group President Helen Shaham, winner of a 2026 Agent of Change Award in the Pinnacle program; Life Enriching Communities President and CEO Scott McQuinn, recipient of a 2026 Thought Leader Award in the Pinnacle program; and Smartlinx Vice President of Marketing Matt Durgin. McKnight’s Senior Living Editor Lois Bowers will moderate the discussion.
4:05 to 4:30 p.m. ET — “On balance: Prioritizing safety and compliance in today’s risk environment.” Panelists will include Pathway Health Chief Operating Officer Lisa Thomson, winner of a 2026 Market Influencer Award in the Pinnacle program; and Connexall Director of Clinical Outcomes and Services Jan Capps. McKnight’s Long-Term Care News Senior Editor Kimberly Marselas will moderate the discussion.
4:35 to 5 p.m. ET — “Risk, reward and readmissions: Executive playbooks for value-based care.” Panelists will include Ousley & Associates President and CEO Mary Ousley, the 2026 McKnight’s Pinnacle Awards Career Achievement Award honoree; RiverSpring Living President and CEO David V Pomeranz, recipient of a 2026 Inspiration Award in the Pinnacle program; and Omnicare Director of Clinical Account Management Rick Foley, PharmD, BCGP. McKnight’s Home Care Editor Lize Berger will moderate the discussion.
