On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, a Megillah reading for staff members was held at New York City Hall, in the Governor’s Room. Many City Hall employees attended the gathering to observe the Purim Mitzvah of hearing the Megillah.
The event was coordinated by Uri Fraenkel, Constituency Director in the Office of Mass Engagement. The Megillah was read by Fraenkel and was followed by an exchange of mishloach manot among those present.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani was presented with mishloach manot and hamantaschen. The gathering provided an opportunity for staff members to mark the holiday together and celebrate the traditions of Purim.
