The Beckhams have broken their silence just in time for Brooklyn Beckham’s birthday, when they wished him a happy birthday with a series of Instagram Stories on March 4.

While Brooklyn hasn’t publicly addressed his parents since he penned a shocking, lengthy statement accusing them of ruining his relationship with Nicola Peltz Beckham, sources have weighed in with his alleged reaction to their birthday wishes.

“Brooklyn ignored David’s attempt at getting his attention with that birthday post,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, March 6. They added, “He thinks it’s just another way for them to save face with the public and that it did not feel meaningful.”

ICYMI, David shared two photos, each captioned, “Happy Birthday Bust. Love you x,” while Victoria posted another set of pics, writing, “Happy 27th birthday Brooklyn. I love you so much.”

Once David and Victoria posted their respective messages on social media, Us Weekly’s insider added, “He is still keeping his distance and is not in touch with his parents. They are trying, but Brooklyn has ignored their attempts.”

In January, Brooklyn took aim at his parents, writing, “I do not not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

He also claimed that David and Victoria have attempted to spread “narratives in the press about our family” by sharing “performative social media posts.”

“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade,” he alleged at the time.
