More than 3,000 people turned out this weekend for the 16th annual New York Women’s Expo, an event billed as the Capital Region’s “ultimate girls’ day out.”
Organizers said the expo connected attendees with more than 165 vendors offering products and services catering specifically toward women. The event also featured interactive, hands-on experiences.
“You can come and get a lip flip, you can get Botox from the best of the best. You can also come and get some pepper spray and take a self-defense course. It’s really a three-dimensional show with a little bit for everybody and every age of life,” said Mariah Fortune, the New York Women’s Expo organizer.
Fortune said planning is already underway for next year’s Women’s Expo, and she hinted at holding a few pop-up events throughout the year.
