Thailand’s Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, died late Friday after suffering from sepsis in Bangkok, according to the Bureau of the Royal Household. She was 93.
King Maha Vajiralongkorn asked the bureau to arrange the royal funeral with the highest honors, according to a statement. The Queen Mother’s body will lie in state at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall in the Grand Palace.
