A longtime diner in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood is preparing to close its doors after nearly 25 years.

In a post to Facebook, the owners of Star On 18 Diner and Café said the restaurant will be shutting down as the property transitions to new ownership.

“In the near term, Star On 18 Diner will be closing. While we do not yet have an official closing date, it appears that the property will be transitioning ownership,” the owners wrote.

The diner, located on 10th Avenue near West 18th Street, said it plans to continue operating as usual for now.

The restaurant thanked patrons for “close to 25 wonderful years of memories, laughter, conversations, and community,” and said it looks forward to welcoming customers in the meantime.

The diner has even had a moment on screen, making a cameo in the comedy series “Broad City.”
