MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Two men working on a film production were injured early Monday when a box truck struck equipment at a Manhattan movie shoot, officials said.

The call came in around 6:02 a.m. at West Houston Street and Sullivan Street, in front of 124 W. Houston St., according to the NYPD.

A white box truck traveling west on West Houston Street hit a lift that was holding a 34‑year‑old man, causing him to fall to the ground, police said. A 66‑year‑old man who was on the ground was then struck by the falling lift.

The truck continued westbound toward Sixth Avenue and did not remain at the scene, authorities said.

Both men were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions were not immediately released.

Neighbors told PIX11 they were shocked by the incident. Members of the production crew declined to speak on camera.

Police are still searching for the box truck driver.
