The New York Giants are expected to sign defensive back Ar’Darius Washington, reports NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
This move reunites Washington with head coach John Harbaugh, marking the third former Baltimore Ravens player to join Harbaugh in New York alongside tight end Isaiah Likely and punter Jordan Stout.

Washington, a safety listed at 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds, went undrafted out of TCU in 2021 after earning Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year honors in 2019 with five interceptions. He signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent and spent his entire five-year career in Baltimore, appearing in 30 games with 10 starts.
His career totals include 81 combined tackles, 3.0 sacks, two interceptions, 10 passes defensed, and two forced fumbles.
Washington showed promise in 2024 with career highs in tackles (60), interceptions (2), and passes defensed (7) after becoming a starter mid-season. Injuries, including a torn Achilles in 2025, limited him recently to just four games.
The signing addresses depth in the secondary following the loss of safety Dane Belton to the New York Jets in free agency.

As a back-end-of-the-roster addition on a likely one-year deal, Washington provides experienced versatility and familiarity with Harbaugh’s schemes to bolster the Giants’ defense.
