Good evening, Central New York. We’re wrapping up the day for you with the most important stories you need to know and your weather outlook.
Your Weather Planner
Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a few scattered showers. Temperatures will be wide-ranging from north to south overnight.
Our weather turns more active Wednesday as showers/storms pass through the region. Temperatures will be wide-ranging from north to south but mostly well above average again.
Due to milder temperatures and the threat of rain Wednesday, a Flood Watch has been posted for parts of the Adirondacks and North Country. While most see the chance at plain rain tomorrow, communities along the Canadian border could experience freezing rain in the morning before switching to rain.
Because of this freezing rain threat, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for parts of the North Country. Behind our midweek cold front, temperatures turn much cooler/chillier for the rest of the week into the start of the weekend. Highs will be in the 30s on Thursday, with 30s and 40s likely on Friday.
Unsettled weather is also expected as we close out the week with rain and wet snow showers in the forecast later Friday into early Saturday.
Saturday is looking chilly for the St. Patrick’s Parade in Syracuse with highs in the 30s.
