The New York Giants have agreed to terms with former Baltimore Ravens fullback Patrick Ricard on a two-year deal, per multiple reports.

Ricard is the fourth player to follow head coach John Harbaugh from the Ravens to the Giants, joining tight end Isaiah Likely, punter Jordan Stout, and defensive back Ar’Darius Washington.

It was widely speculated that the Giants would pursue a fullback as part of a heavy emphasis on establishing a successful running game. The team clearly made the position a priority, reportedly signing Ricard to a contract that makes him the highest-paid fullback in the NFL.

Ricard spent the last nine seasons with Harbaugh in Baltimore, earning Pro Bowl honors in six of those years.

Through their approach in free agency, Harbaugh is clearly prioritizing the rushing attack, and Ricard figures to play a significant role in the shift toward a more run-focused offense. Ricard will also provide additional protection for quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Harbaugh has shown a clear preference for bringing in players he knows well, and Ricard fits that profile perfectly. Only time will tell whether the Giants pursue additional players with ties to Harbaugh as they continue building the roster.
