NEWARK, New Jersey — A vacant house collapsed overnight in Newark, New Jersey, leading to the evacuation of a neighboring home.
The unoccupied house on West Runyon Street collapsed around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, appearing to fall down in all directions.
The walls and roof caved in and wood was strewn across the property.
One exterior wall leaned precariously on the adjacent house, leading those next door to evacuate.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
The cause of the collapse is still under investigation.
