It was a fun and festive celebration of Queens at the Queens Sign Community Block Party on March 8 at MacDonald Park in Forest Hills, celebrating the first anniversary of the sign. The work of art was created by Forest Hills resident Larry Ng. The colorful statue stands six feet high and is 22.75 feet wide. The stainless-steel structure weighs over 2,000 pounds and is painted in the colors of the Queens flag. See page 13.
