A Bronx suspect wanted for a July double murder has been arrested — after he got in new trouble for robbing an ex-girlfriend in front of her child, police said Wednesday.
Darwin Martinez, 20, was charged with murder Tuesday for the shooting of Adam Waldropt and Gabriel Alvarez just outside Ferry Point Park in Throggs Neck on July 28.
Cops were initially looking to question six men and a woman who were all caught on video at the scene before the shooting erupted on desolate Brush Ave. near Schley Ave. It was not immediately clear Wednesday if more arrests are now expected.
Waldropt, 29, was shot in the stomach and buttocks and Alvarez, 22, was struck in the armpit and shoulder during the 6 a.m. clash.

Seven people were at the scene, including two men wearing ski masks who sped away on a moped, cops said at the time.
Medics rushed both victims to Jacobi Medical Center but they could not be saved.
Alvarez lived in Stratford, Conn., but often stayed at a girlfriend’s apartment in Parkchester, friends said. Waldropt lived in Parkchester, according to cops.
Waldropt worked alongside his father at 25 Central Park West, a luxury condo building on the Upper West Side, where a building manager referred to him as a “valued member of our team.”
“Adam was not only a dedicated team member, but also a kind and generous soul who left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working with him,” said building manager Eric Lyons, who helped raise $98,000 on GoFundMe for Waldropt’s family.

During their seven-month investigation, cops identified Martinez as a possible suspect in the killing.
More evidence linked him to the shooting on Tuesday, after he was arrested on Manida St. in Hunt’s Point for robbing an ex-girlfriend in front of her child that day.
Cops arrested him on robbery, menacing and endangering the welfare of a child charges for the Tuesday hold up. He was also charged with murder, assault and weapons possession in the deaths of Waldropt and Lyons.

Martinez’s arraignment was pending in Bronx Criminal Court Wednesday. He lives in Crotona Park East, according to cops.
When the killing happened, cops suspected it may have had something to do with a shooting that happened up the block two days earlier. In that incident, a 21-year-old man was found shot in the stomach. He was hospitalized and expected to recover.
