MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The application period for the city’s annual board and commission vacancies is now open.

“This is your opportunity to step up, get involved, and make a meaningful impact on Manhattan Beach,” the city said in a statement.

To be considered for an available board or commission seat, applicants must reside in Manhattan Beach and be registered voters.

As of March 11, applications are being accepted for the following boards and commissions:

Planning Commission
Four Members-At-Large seatsParking and Public Improvements Commission
Two Members-At-Large seatsBoard of Building Appeals
Five Members-At-Large seatsLos Angeles County West Vector Control Board
One Member-At-Large seatParks and Recreation Commission
Three seats: one Manhattan Beach Unified School District Nominee, one Member-At-Large, 1 Student RepresentativeCultural Arts Commission
Two seats: one Art Experience, one Student RepresentativeLibrary Commission
Two seats: one Member-At-Large, one Student Representative
