Local Kids Visit Ice Cream Factory, React to Colder Days Ahead

CHADWICKS, N.Y. — The warmer days in the area are rare, but one local ice cream shop is seizing the day.

The Ice Cream Factory is now open for business.

It’s not exactly summertime weather just yet, but people stopped by the shop to grab their favorite flavor.

NEWSChannel 2 asked about how they’re feeling about the colder days ahead.

“I just hate the cold; I’m ready for it to be warm by now,” said Joshua Bowee. “I like the snow because it gives it a reason to be cold…if I can see the ground, I’d rather be able to go outside in a t-shirt.”

John Doti said he prefers winter over summer.

Standing next to him was his brother, Frederick Bruzzese, who disagreed.

“Because then I could play sports,” said Bruzzese.

He said that during the spring, he gets to play baseball with his dad.

Doti said he enjoys skiing.

“I like to ski and when I’m skiing, I get a big snowball and I throw it at him,” said Doti.

Samantha Howard said she likes to longboard and hang out at the beach when it gets warmer.

She said she isn’t looking forward to colder temperatures again.

“At least I’m going to be working all day so I guess that’s fine because if it was nice tomorrow and then the next day and I was cooped in work all day, I would not be happy,” she said.
