BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Record-breaking warmth arrived today as high temperatures soared to their warmest levels since late October. Many locations saw highs in the mid-to-upper 60s and low 70s, shattering daily temperature records.

Springfield and Rutland were the only locations that didn’t break records. But the real story is how dramatically records fell — Burlington’s high was 10 degrees above the previous record. That kind of deviation is a statistical outlier.
