Lindsay Lohan arrived safely in New York City for work after leaving Dubai amid attacks from Iranian drones and missiles.
The Bronx born, Long Island raised actress landed Wednesday, according to TMZ. She was accompanied by her husband, Bader Shammas.
It’s unclear how long Lohan will stay in the U.S. She reportedly begins work this month on a new show co-starring Shailene Woodley.
Lohan was “stuck” in the United Arab Emirates metropolis since the U.S. and Israel launched attacks on Iran, which responded by taking aim at neighboring countries that are friendly with America.
Two Iranian drones struck near the very busy Dubai International Airport Wednesday as Iran targeted commercial vessels and infrastructure in the Middle East. Four people were wounded, but commercial planes continued departures, according to the Dubai Media Office said.
Lohan’s visit to New York was delayed due to her concerns about boarding one of the first flights out of Dubai since the airport first came under fire on March 1, TMZ reported.
The 39-year-old “Mean Girls” star moved to Dubai in 2014. She lives there her with financier husband, whom she married in 2021. They have a 2-year-old son.
Lohan told Vogue Arabia last month that she left the U.S. in search of a new life when she was no longer finding work she enjoyed.
“I’m so glad I followed my gut,” she told the fashion magazine.
Deadline reported in August that Woodley and Lohan signed on to appear in the Hulu suspense series “Count My Lies,” which is based on a book by Sophie Stava.
Lohan said in a 2014 “The Tonight Show” interview with Jimmy Fallon that she finds New York comforting.
“It’s home for me,” she said.
