It’s no secret that British pop star Harry Styles might have taken the crown from Eliud Kipchoge as the poster boy for running. After running a 2:59:13 last September at the Berlin Marathon, Styles has continued to publicly embrace his passion for running.
Last week, it was announced that Styles will be the cover model and feature story in the April print issue of Runner’s World, and this week, Styles was spotted training around Manhattan in a pair of white New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080v14 running shoes.

Photos of the singer were shared on X, showing the 32-year-old running in one direction on the Manhattan Bridge and around the Lower East Side wearing a George Clinton/Parliament long-sleeve tee, Pleasing run shorts and the popular high-cushioned everyday trainer.
The 1080v14 is the previous iteration of one of New Balance’s most popular running shoe lines. It’s a reliable option and a good choice for frequent runners like Styles. The latest version, the New Balance 1080v15, was released in January and is the brand’s most durable version yet. We are somewhat surprised the former One Direction frontman hasn’t made the switch to the new version, considering his rumoured four distance runs each week amid a busy schedule.
Harry Styles says running makes him feel clear and present
Styles has been open about what it’s like running through one of the world’s most populated cities as a globally recognized figure, telling Runner’s World he isn’t bothered by being spotted. “Well, the main thing is that you’re always moving. You can turn a corner wherever,” he said to the magazine in a feature interview. “I think with people who see me, it’s a bit more ‘Was that…?’ rather than, ‘Oh look it’s him!’ And by that time, you’re already gone.”
Outside of running, Styles has also been busy producing music. Last week, he released his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. This weekend, he will appear on Saturday Night Live for the second time in his career, doubling as both host and musical guest.

He will return to New York City later this summer on his Together, Together world tour, including a 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden between Aug. 26 and Oct. 31. According to Ticketmaster, a record-breaking 11.5 million fans registered for the presale code to get tickets for these 30 concerts.
The 32-year-old has not revealed when his next race will be, but given he’s out training, and his world tour starting May 16 in Amsterdam, it could be sooner than we think.
