In a vibrant fusion of Sicilian heritage and modern New York artistry, Crayonfou Mosaic Studios, in partnership with the LIC Partnership, is proud to announce the unveiling of its latest public art installation. The ceremony will take place on March 20th at 5:00 PM at Bar Enzo, located in the heart of Long Island City.

The mural serves as a poignant tribute to Enzo, a Sicilian immigrant who arrived in Brooklyn in the 1960s. Enzo’s legacy lives on through his grandson, the founder of Bar Enzo and the adjacent Grates of Craft beer hall and café. While Bar Enzo is known for serving authentic, old-recipe Sicilian cocktails in a sleek, contemporary setting, this new mosaic provides a permanent, shimmering link to the family’s roots.

Created by Colombian-born artist Santiago Rodriguez, the mural is composed entirely of premium glass sourced from Northern Italy. Rodriguez, who trained in the world-renowned mosaic hub of Ravenna, Italy, operates his studio nearby in LIC. His diverse portfolio includes: Architectural Glass Mosaics: Traditional techniques applied to modern spaces; Sustainable Art: Creative works utilizing recycled skateboards; Wearable Art: Micro-mosaic jewelry and mosaic-integrated fashion.
