The New York Giants are making another valuable addition to their offense and special teams this offseason. They are reportedly signing veteran wide receiver/punt returner Calvin Austin III on a one-year deal.

Austin, a fourth-round pick out of Memphis by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022, was a part-time contributor on offense (84 receptions for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns) for the past three seasons and a key cog on special teams as a punt returner.

Austin averaged 8.9 yards per attempt on 72 punt returns in his three seasons with the Steelers. He has a 73-yard return for a touchdown to his credit. That came against the Giants on Oct. 28, 2024.

Austin will compete for the primary punt return role with Gunner Olszewski, whom the Giants brought back last week.
