ALLERTON, The Bronx (PIX11) — New Surveillance video captures a violent attack inside a Bronx grocery store that left two employees injured.
That video shows the moment a group of girls walked into Key Food on White Plains Road and began arguing with store employees before chaos unfolded. Police said it happened just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night. The female victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, said it all started as a dispute between two customers.

“The argument more or less was about him not saying excuse me and refusing to apologize for that mistake, and things got heated between them, and he said that he would call somebody for her,” she said.
The female victim said the situation escalated when that customer left the store and returned with a group of four girls who yelled at employees for not stepping in to defuse the earlier dispute. A girl wearing a gray one-piece outfit eventually slaps a security guard. The female victim said she told her she couldn’t do that. The same girl then charges at the worker, striking her as well.
“And then that’s when everybody else starts to attack me. It was just fight or flight. You have to do one or the other, but unfortunately for me, I did not have the option for flight.”
According to police, both employees suffered minor injuries. The female worker also reported experiencing hair loss. According to store owner Miguel Garcia, this same group has caused trouble before.
“The same people that did this did it right across the street two weeks ago,” Garcia said. “So, it’s insane that they’re out on the street.”
With some employees now terrified to go to work, the NYPD is stepping up patrols inside the store. Carlos Collado of Bodega and Small Business Group is now calling for justice.
“We’re calling so that there are more consequences,” Collado said.
He added, “We know NYPD does their job. They do it well, but will the justice system follow through. That’s our concern.”
NYPD tells PIX11 News the department is searching for at least three girls as the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the police.
