It was a thrilling Public Schools Athletic League championship between the Eagles… and the Eagles.

Eagle Academy of the Bronx scored a basket off a wild sequence in the final seconds of regulation to tie it up with Eagle Academy of Brooklyn Thursday night.

With four seconds left in overtime, the Bronx Eagles broke the tie with two free throws to win the game 59-57.

The game was played on the campus of St. John’s University in Queens.

The Eagle Academy was started in 2004 in the Bronx by educator David Banks, who recently served as the city’s schools chancellor.

A few years later, the Brooklyn location was opened.
