The New York Giants are reuniting with safety Jason Pinnock on a one-year deal, bolstering their secondary amid recent changes.
Pinnock, who spent three seasons with the Giants after being claimed off waivers from the New York Jets in 2022, returns after a brief stint with the San Francisco 49ers in 2025.
Originally a fifth-round pick by the Jets in the 2021 NFL draft out of Pittsburgh, the 26-year-old converted cornerback established himself as a reliable starter in New York. He started 32 games over the previous two full seasons with the Giants, recording consistent production, including 85 tackles in each of 2023 and 2024, along with 6.5 career sacks, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), and multiple forced fumbles.
This move comes as a positive development for the Giants, who lost safety Dane Belton to the Jets in free agency.
Pinnock adds valuable experience and depth to a safety group that includes Jevon Holland, Tyler Nubin, and the recently signed Ar’Darius Washington. His familiarity with the organization and proven ability to play high snap counts should help stabilize the back end as the team builds its defense.
