Man, 36, shot dead in head in Queens

A man was fatally shot in the head in Queens on Friday, cops said.

The 36-year-old victim was shot outside a residential building on 55th Ave. near 97th Place in Corona around 7:49 p.m., according to law enforcement.

Medics rushed him to Elmhurst Hospital, where he died, police said.

The victim’s ID is being withheld until police first notify his family of his death.

There were no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
