NEW YORK (WCAX) – National Grid is preparing for major winter storm impacts in Upstate New York this weekend.
The power company has increased their staffing and activated their emergency response plan to prepare for outages across the state.
National Grid is reminding people to be cautious around any down power lines or fallen trees, since they might still carry live electricity.
If a power outage happens near you, you can notify National Grid online or text “OUT” to 64743.
