Join more than an expected 30,000 runners for 13.1 miles in one of the most prestigious half marathons live from the NYC Half on Sunday morning. Officially, the United Airlines NYC Half, organized by New York Road Runners, starts in Brooklyn, NY, near Prospect Park, and will finish in Manhattan in Central Park. This course cutoff is 3 hours, and it has become the largest half-marathon in the country. That happened after last year’s race, when the NYC Half set a record in 2025 with 28,709 finishers. The views are simply unparalleled in this particular race. This is also the only race to run across the Brooklyn Bridge, and then runners pass the Grand Central Terminal and run through Times Square. There are some serious prizes on the line today, with first place taking away $20,000 and being open to men and women. Even if you’d rather just post up with a cup of coffee than run an actual race, this is one of the best sightseeing programs you can take in NYC.

There will be some big names participating in this race, including 5000 and 10,000m 2024 bronze medalist Grant Fisher, making his half-marathon debut. This race will also feature all four defending champions from the last race. The men’s winner, Abel Kipchumba from Kenya, won in the men’s race with a 0:59:09 with a 4:31 pace. Sharon Lokedi set the pace for the women, also from Kenya, who ran 1:07:04 at a 5:07 pace. Geert Schipper was first in the men’s wheelchair race with a 0:49:51 time and a 3:49 pace. Finally, women’s wheelchair champion Manuela Schär is looking to defend her title after a 54:09 time. You’re not going to want to miss this race, as it is rare to see this many sights along with some of the world’s greatest athletes all in one place.
